Steve Fisher was raised in Durand, Wisconsin. Mr. Fisher graduated from Durand High School, where he studied band under the direction of Gerald Gleason. In 1994, Mr. Fisher was awarded a BME (Bachelors of Music Education) from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. While at Eau Claire he studied conducting under Donald S. George and played in numerous ensembles. Steve studied trumpet and French horn under Robert J. Baca and Kendall Betts, respectively. Steve, while at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, was an active member of Phi Eta Sigma academic honor society and a quarterback for the football team.
Since Mr. Fisher’s arrival at Waukesha North High School in 1995, the Northstar Band Program has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success: State Marching Band Champions in 1996, 1998, 2002, 2003, 2007 & 2008; consistent superior ratings at WSMA Large Group Festivals; appeared and performed in the 1997 Washington, D.C., National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, 1999 and 2004 New York City Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the 2002 and 2007 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade; appeared and performed for the 2002 Major League Baseball’s Pre-Game All-Star Game Celebration, for two NFL Green Bay Packer halftime performances, and for numerous Special Olympics and United Way events. In December of 2008, the Northstar Band will proudly march in the Macy’s Holiday Parade in Orlando, Florida.
In addition, Mr. Fisher was the School Districts of Waukesha’s Sallie May "First Class Teacher," is a member of Phi Beta Mu – a national band directors fraternity, National Band Association (NBA), and was awarded his MA (Master of Arts) in education with an emphasis in music from Mount Mary College.
Steve and his wife Shelly have two beautiful daughters, Grace and Isabelle.

Greg Richlin was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin where he graduated from Waukesha North High School and studied band under the direction of Mr. Jim Doepke and Mr. Steve Fisher. Mr. Richlin graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 2008 where he studied trumpet under Dr. Frank Hanson. During his college career Greg was an active participant in the UW-Whitewater Marching Band, Pep Band, Wind Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble and Brass Choir.
For the past four years Mr. Richlin has been working as a marching and music instructor with the Waukesha North Marching Band. In those four years the Northstar band has participated in the Wisconsin State Marching Band Competition and received two class AAAA State Championships. In 2007 the band traveled to Pasadena, California for the Tournament of Roses Parade and recently the band traveled to Orlando, Florida for the Macy’s Holiday Parade.
